In the Name of God Amen. The twentieth day of July one thousand six hundred fifty foure, William Staff of Leydon in the Countie of Suffolke, husbandman, being of good and perfect memory doe now ordaine and make this my ...sent Testament and last will in manner and forme following. Item: I give and bequeath unto William Staff my sonne all my moveable goodes, c..e chattells cattell ready memo bills bondes and houshold stuffe of whatsoever nature or condition but my minde and will is, that Henry Corbold of Reydon in the Countie of Suff., yeoman and John Mayes? of Wangford in the said County, yeoman as ..ionde that I putt in trust shall have full power to dispose of all my goode and personall estate whatsoever as to make of all or parte of the same as they shall think fit for the use of William my Sonne untill he shall accomplish the full age of one and twenty yeares, and then my minde and will is that the said Hnery Corbold and John Mapes? or theire heires or Assinges shall lott his hand the one half of all my goode and personall estate.

And then my minde and will is that the said Henry Corbold and John Mayes? shall lott his hand all the residue of my goode and personall estate when he shall accomplish the full age of foure and twenty yearse, and to give the said Henry Corbold and John a generall ... for a discharge of the same. And further it is my minde and will that if it shall soe fall out the William my Sonne, shall not live to accomplish the full age of one and tweny years that i doe then give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Cazent? my sister the full summe of ten pounds of lawfull English monie to be paid by my Executors within one quarter of a year next after my decease. And all the residue of my good and personall estate all chargers being deducted out, I wholy give and bequeath unto Mary Staff and William Staff my brothers' Sonne and daughter to be divided between them as my Executors shall soe cause to the one more and to the other lesse. And I doe nominate and appoint Henry Corbold and John Mayes? to bee Executors of this my last will and Testament hoping that they soe farr as in theire power shall bye? will soe the same performed. In witness whereof I the saide William Staff to this my present will and Testament have put to my hand and seale and published the same in the presence of William Staff, his marke. Probatum:  This Will was proved at London before the Judges for probate of wills and granting of Administrations lawfully authorized the nineteenth day of may in the yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundred fifty six bu the oathe of Henry Corbold and John Mayes? Executors named in the said Will to whome Administration was committed of al lthe goode, chattells, and debts of the said deceased, they being first sworne by virtue of a Commission of trust forth to the effort trustly to Administrator or :/ (Assignes)
